SEVENDUST Scrap 'Seasons' As Album Title
July 23, 2003SEVENDUST have reportedly scrapped "Seasons" as the title for their fourth full-length studio album, tentatively due in October through TVT Records. A new title for the CD has yet to be announced.
As previously reported, SEVENDUST have recorded 17 tracks during the sessions for the upcoming album at Atlanta's Ruby Red Studios with producer Butch Walker (INJECTED, SR-71). Around 12-13 songs will end up on the final CD, which is currently being mixed at NRG Recording in North Hollywood by Jay Baumgardner (PAPA ROACH, ALIEN ANT FARM, DROWNING POOL). Among the tracks recorded for the album is a cover of MARVIN GAYE's "Inner City Blues", which is likely to be included on a forthcoming soundtrack or as a b-side. Other cuts recorded during the sessions include "Disgrace", "Seasons", "Honesty", "Skeleton Song" and "Enemy (Pez)".
The SEVENDUST song "Leech" will be released on the soundtrack for the "Freddy vs. Jason" movie, due on August 5 through Roadrunner Records. "Leech" was recorded during the recording sessions for the "Animosity" record, but ended up being left out of the album's final running order.
